"I was between a rock and a hard place when I found Depression Exam. I was severely depressed, paralyzed with fear of leaving the house, unable to work and, therefore, not eligible for unemployment benefits.
I didn't know what was my next step. I was looking for a therapist but I wasn't having luck finding one who could/would see me via video conference. Michael helped me connect with a psychologist and get diagnosed and treated. He then helped me to complete the paperwork to receive the SDI benefits I deserved.

Where do I start? Michael and my doctor have done so much for my family and I. After being laid off from my job, and my husbands hours reduced, my depression was at an all time high. we wondered how we could get thru this with our children, stress and bills!
That is when Michael found me and while sceptical at first, I took a leap of faith and I am really glad I did.
Michael took me by the hand and walked me thru the process of working with my doctor and the entire filing process. A short time later I began receiving my benefits and counseling.
I am happy to say that my depression has improved considerably and I have learned some valuable tools to help me cope, along with some great insight as to my triggers.
The best thing - I am back on my feet again and I'm going back to work and my husband is interviewing for better positions as well!

My depression and anxiety from a work related issue was seriously impacting my personal and professional life. I found depressionexam.com and it was just the thing I was needing in my life! I could barely function however I still continued my daily job searches. Depressionexam.com has truly been a lifesaver for me. After being told by several people that I would likely qualify for short-term disability: even after seeing my physician multiple times on the subject of my depression, I had no easy way to begin. Every process feels overwhelming when you are in that mental space.
The staff at depression exam are SDI policy experts who can calmly and kindly help organize and guide you through the process. It is infinitely better to work through this time in your life with certified professionals in a secure online environment, rather than multiple in-office appointments. I had a lot of questions for them, but their prompt response time was very reassuring and helped me gain my SDI benefits in a very short period of time. It was all much easier than I had anticipated.

When I first learned about this program I was in a very bad place. I was laid off for the second time in my life and my unemployment had run out. I was very depressed and at times even had suicidal thoughts.

I came across the posting from Depression Exam when looking for help with my own mental illness. In the past I looked into filing for state disability insurance but it looked so complicated and confusing, that I just gave up without trying.

I had struggled with depression for basically my whole life. For me the process of taking advantage of our California EDD programs for employees was incredibly daunting. You have to find a doctor, juggle a bunch of forms, learn a bunch of guidelines. You almost have to think like a lawyer. Michael has a lot of experience with the system and handles all of the details for you. If you've thought about getting help before but been intimidated by what you have to do to get it, Michael will take care of all of it for you.

I was at a point in my life where nothing seemed to be going right. My home life was a mess, I had lost my job and in the process of going into foreclosure. I was in complete denial about possible depression.

I was a professional with a good career in the past, but fell under difficult times due to depression.
